The Shelly RC snubber is an add-on for Shelly relays and is recommended for use with inductive devices such as motors, fans, vacuum cleaners, washing machines and electrical transformers (LED power supplies, laptop, TV). The Shelly RC snubber is compatible with Shelly 1, Shelly 1PM, Shelly 2.5, Shelly Plus 1, Shelly Plus 1PM and Shelly Pro 4PM relays.

The Shelly RC snubber is an add-on for Shelly relays and is recommended for use with inductive devices such as motors, fans, vacuum cleaners, washing machines and power transformers (LED power supplies, laptop, TV).
These devices can cause voltage spikes in the power grid when switched on/off if the voltage fluctuations are not properly addressed by the manufacturers, which can cause problems in the power grid. Such a problem could be, for example, accidental switching on/off and restarting of Shelly relays.
To avoid such electrical problems, a Shelly RC snubber (0.1 µF / 100 Ω / 1 / 2W / 600 V AC) should be connected between the voltage (L Out) and the neutral voltage (N) of the electrical circuit. See examples of electrical diagrams in the product descriptions.
The purpose of the RC snubber is to snubber or neutralise voltage spikes caused by inductive devices by using a circuit to absorb the energy inside.
The Shelly RC sub is compatible with Shelly 1, Shelly 1PM, Shelly 2,5, Shelly Plus 1, Shelly Plus 1PM and Shelly Pro 4PM.
