Shelly Outdoor Plug S Gen3

Shelly Outdoor Plug S Gen3 is a compact smart plug designed for outdoor use. It connects via Wi-Fi and can be quickly connected via Bluetooth, while also acting as a gateway for BLU devices. It supports the Matter standard and has built-in power metering, so it's great for monitoring power consumption at endpoints.

Control and monitor any electrical device plugged into an outlet in your home, even outdoors. The device can switch on and off devices up to 2500 W and offers customisable LED indicators. Integrated Matter support ensures smooth integration with any Matter-enabled smart home system.

Schedule options:

• Create up to 50 on/off schedules for different days of the week with Gen3 devices.
• It supports schedules based on sunrise and sunset (including an offset, e.g. "sunset + 30 minutes").
• Includes automatic switch-off and switch-on timers, allowing devices to switch on or off automatically after a set time.

Supported modes:

• Cloud Mode: Connects to the free Shelly Cloud platform, allows control via the Shelly Cloud app (iOS and Android) or via the website https://home.shelly.cloud/.
• LAN mode: The device works only on a local network, without a connection to the cloud.
• Integration into the local smart home: Supports REST API and MQTT for connection to local smart centres.
• Wi-Fi hotspot: In the absence of a fixed Wi-Fi network, the plug can broadcast its own Wi-Fi AC network, allowing control from a phone or laptop within its range.

Support for Matter:

The new Shelly Outdoor Plug S Gen3 supports the Matter standard for smart homes. This allows seamless integration not only with Shelly Cloud and local modes, but also with other Matter-compatible ecosystems such as Apple HomeKit, SmartThings and others.

In cloud mode, electricity consumption data is stored in a Shelly Cloud account, where users can view and download it via an app.

The "Scene" feature in Shelly Cloud allows devices to communicate with each other based on complex conditions. For example, a Shelly relay for a lamp can switch on or off another Shelly relay that is plugged into an outlet, allowing wireless control via Wi-Fi and Shelly Cloud.

Also, using static IP addresses, Shelly devices can communicate directly with each other via HTTP commands (Direct Device-to-Device mode) without an internet connection. This way, device control remains functional even when the internet is down or cloud access is blocked by a firewall.

Smart control and automation:

Shelly offers its own free app and cloud service for smart control.

Instead of the ESP32 processor found in previous models, the Shelly Outdoor Plug S Gen3 has Shelly's own ESP-Shelly-C38F processor. This newer CPU provides faster performance and twice the memory (8 MB), allowing for better functionality and faster response.
