One of Nous' new European products is Nous B1Z 1-channel smart relay without power metering function, equipped with Tuya Zigbee chip that can be used to control sockets or switches, or any other device with a maximum power consumption of up to 16A. It also supports de-energised contact, making it suitable for controlling garage door and door opener motors.
The Nous B1Z relay module contains a Tuya Zigbee chip and needs to be connected to a Tuya Zigbee gateway via the Tuya/SmartLife remote control app.

Tuya is a popular cloud-based smart home platform that offers integrated solutions for a variety of smart home devices and applications. Nous B1Z Tuya Zigbee smart relay module is a 1-channel smart relay module. It supports 100-240V AC, 24-48V DC or 12V DC power supply. Its special feature is the possibility of single-channel power metering, which allows to measure the power consumption of monitored devices and to manage them based on the power consumption data.
With the built-in Tuya Zigbee chip, it can connect to Nous' own Zigbee gateway or other standard Tuya Zigbee gateways. The device is suitable for control via smartphone with the Nous app, but experience shows that it provides more functionality when using the Tuya app.
Due to its small size, the module fits into the standard depth of recessed dosing units for traditional switching points. It has a switch input so that "smart upgraded" switch points can continue to operate as before.
The Nous B1Z module is designed for the Tuya smart home, which operates primarily in cloud mode. However, with Tuya Zigbee gateways supporting local caching and running automations without an internet connection, automations can also run offline.
When connected to the Tuya Zigbee gateway, it supports voice control via Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and (for iOS phones) Siri.
