Nous B2T smart Wi-Fi mini relay module

Nous B2T is a smart Wi-Fi relay for 1 socket with power monitoring that can be used to control and monitor the power consumption of sockets or light switches if they are installed behind them. It comes pre-installed with the Tasmota firmware.

Original price was: 28,21 €.Current price is: 21,16 €.

One of Nous' new European products is Nous B2T 1-channel Wi-Fi smart relay with power metering, which can be used to manage and monitor the power consumption of sockets or switches when installed behind them, or to control any other device up to 16A. The product is compatible with the Matter standard.

Nous supplies the B2T relay module with the Tasmota firmware pre-loaded, so it is particularly recommended for users and integrators of open source smart home systems and those looking for solutions compatible with Matter hubs.

So, the special feature is that the Nous smart module ships with the Tasmota firmware already loaded, so it is also recommended for users and integrators of open source smart systems.

Note: Tasmota firmware is not a commercial product and support is only available through the community.

What is Tasmota firmware?

TASMOTA is an open source firmware that is increasingly being used - even as factory preloaded - as the basic software for smart home devices. It allows local management independent of the cloud, supports manufacturer-independent local and secure data storage. As Tasmota is open source, it is continuously developed and revised by the community, increasing security and reliability.

It supports various communication protocols such as MQTT, HTTP and WebSocket, ensuring wide compatibility with different devices. TASMOTA devices can be easily integrated with various smart home hubs such as Home Assistant, OpenHAB, Domoticz and Node-RED.

The Tasmota firmware provides a local web-based management interface on the devices for various settings. It does not offer its own "factory" application, but several third-party applications help to manage and control the devices. Smart home platforms such as Home Assistant, OpenHAB and others also have mobile apps to integrate and manage Tasmota devices.

Nous B2T WiFi Smart Relay Module can be used as a single channel relay switch module and energy meter. The device contains an integrated ESP32 MINI-1 module with 4MB flash memory and is already equipped with Tasmota firmware, allowing easy integration with various smart home systems such as Home Assistant.

The B2T module supports 100-240V AC or 24-30V DC power and connects to a Wi-Fi network via built-in 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. A special feature of the module is the single-channel power metering, which allows the monitored devices to be monitored and managed based on the power consumption data.

As B2T works with Tasmota firmware, it is not compatible with Nous' own application, but with open source solutions such as Home Assistant or other systems that support the MQTT protocol.

Due to its small size, it fits standard recessed wall socket outlets behind traditional switches. It has an input for a switch key, so the "smart" switching point remains as usable as before.

It works in local mode without an internet connection or a factory cloud and can be programmed with schedules.

It is a Matter-compatible solution, compatible with Apple HomeKit and SmartThings when connected to a Matter hub.

When connected to Matter Hub or Home Assistant, it supports voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
