SmartWise B61 UNI Wi-Fi + eWeLink-Remote, smart wall switch - Accessories

The SmartWise B6 UNI family of smart wall switches has Wi-Fi connectivity and a physical push button on the front panel. This new product now uses a chip that supports Wi-Fi + Bluetooth connection (instead of the previously typical Wi-Fi + RF 433MHz). The smart wall switch connects directly to the Wi-Fi router via the app eWeLink on a smartphone, so it connects to the same eWeLink smart home platform as the Sonoff devices, and does not need a local central unit as it operates via the eWeLink cloud platform.

The Bluetooth module supports quick and easy pairing with phone and Wi-Fi networks, and its eWeLink-Remote (Bluetooth) protocol receiver can be paired with SmartWise Bluetooth wireless switches and wireless switches for use as a wireless two-way switch.

The SmartWise B6 smart light switch is available with one, two and three buttons (gang) and a push plate in white, grey, black and gold.

The switch family is also available in an elegant white or black glass touch panel version called SmartWise T6, with the same smart features as the model with physical push buttons.

Wiring

The UNI version of SmartWise Smart Wall Switches supports universal wiring: recommended for phase + neutral conductor, but also supports wiring with only one phase conductor (without neutral)so you can use them anywhere as a replacement for traditional wall switches. If they are wired without a neutral conductor, they are recommended for lights only and are compatible with tungsten, LED and CFL bulbs. For wiring with only one phase conductor, a small anti-rip module (supplied) must be connected to the luminaire.

Smart home platform

As Sonoff smart switches, they connect to a cloud platform and app eWeLink as the default setting, so they also work well with other brands that use eWeLink, such as Sonoff, SmartWise, KingArt, WDYK and Woolley.

Advanced hardware allows operation without a local central unit, as all devices access the eWeLink cloud platform via the router's Wi-Fi internet connection.

If you want to use your device with a local central unit instead of cloud mode, you can use the low-cost SONOFF iHost central unit. Instead of the cloud-based eWeLink platform, it can run the local eWeLink platform (eWeLink Cube) without an internet connection, and also supports other open source smart home platforms (Home Assistant, NodeRED, etc.).

They can also be used with the Home Assistant Green hub, which runs the open source Home Assistant platform, as it offers integrations for local management of Sonoff and other eWeLink devices.

Local governance

The switch has a physical push-button on the front panel that allows the light to be switched on and off in the same way as a traditional wall switch.

Local remote control

Thanks to the built-in Bluetooth chip, the SmartWise wall switch can also be remotely controlled with eWeLink-Remote (Bluetooth) wireless switches and remotes. This makes it possible to create a wireless two-way wall switch. In the 2 and 3-button versions, each button can be separately steamed with different SmartWise eWeLink-Remote wireless switches and remotes, as required. Note: not compatible with Sonoff (R5, S-MATE (R2), etc.) eWeLink-Remote switches/modules.

Functions:

Using an iOS (Apple) or Android smartphone, the Smart Switch connects to the Wi-Fi router via the eWeLink app and thus to the internet. In the app, you can check the status of the switch (on/off) at any time, switch the light on/off remotely and set an on/off schedule. The switch also has an auto-off (inching) function, as with most other Sonoff and SmartWise devices, which allows the light to automatically switch off after a set amount of time so that it doesn't stay on unnecessarily. You can also share the remote control in the app with others, e.g. family members or office colleagues.

The ideal solution for smart control of all types of lamps.

Useful as a security solution as it allows you to simulate your presence - the light is switched on and off on a schedule to make outside observers think you are at home.

Of course, you can also create other automation (scene) between your eWeLink devices - whether Wi-Fi, Zigbee or RF - based on sensors or the status of other devices.

Two- or three-button versions can be set in the app to interlock mode, where one button is switched off when another is switched on, allowing safe use, for example to operate roller shutters or motors.
