The SmartWise T6 UNI family of smart wall switches features Wi-Fi and a stylish glass front touch panel. This new version of the product now uses a chip that supports Wi-Fi + Bluetooth connection (instead of the previously common Wi-Fi + RF 433MHz). The smart wall switch connects directly to the Wi-Fi router via eWeLink applications on a smartphone, so it connects to the same eWeLink smart home platform as Sonoff devices and does not need a local central unit as it works by default via the eWeLink cloud.
The Bluetooth module allows quick and easy pairing with a phone and Wi-Fi network, and its eWeLink-Remote (Bluetooth) protocol receiver can pair with SmartWise Bluetooth wireless switches and wireless switches that can be used as wireless two-way switches.
The SmartWise T6 smart wall switch is available in 1, 2 and 3-button (gang) versions. White and black glass touch front panels are also available.
The switch family is also available with a practical physical button on the front panel in 4 different colours (white, black, grey, gold), called SmartWise B6, with the same smart functions as the glass touch panel model.
Wiring
The UNI version of SmartWise Smart Wall Switches supports universal wiring: recommended for phase + neutral wire, but also supports single phase wiring (without neutral wire), so they can be used anywhere as a replacement for any traditional wall switch. When wired without neutral wire, it is recommended for lights and is compatible with incandescent, LED and CFL bulbs. When wired with only one phase wire, a small anti-flicker module (supplied) must be connected to the luminaire.
Smart home platform
Like Sonoff smart switches, they connect to the default cloud system eWeLink applications and platforms, so they work very well with other brands that use the eWeLink app, such as Sonoff, SmartWise, KingArt, WDYK and Woolley.
It is a high quality hardware that does not require a local central unit, as all devices access the factory eWeLink cloud via the router's Wi-Fi internet connection.
If you want to use a local central unit instead of cloud mode, you can also use the low-cost SONOFF iHost central unit. It allows the use of the local eWeLink platform (eWeLink Cube) without an internet connection, while also supporting other open source home automation platforms (Home Assistant, NodeRED, etc.).
It can also be used with the Home Assistant Green central unit using the open source Home Assistant platform, as this platform offers integrations for local management of Sonoff and other eWeLink devices.
Local governance
The elegant glass front touch panel makes it easy and comfortable to operate the lights on the wall switch with a gentle touch.
Local remote control
Thanks to the built-in Bluetooth chip, SmartWise wall switches can also be remotely controlled with eWeLink-Remote (Bluetooth) wireless switches and remotes. These can be used for a wireless two-way wall switch. The 2-gang and 3-gang versions allow each channel to be individually paired with different SmartWise eWeLink-Remote wireless switches or remotes. Note: not compatible with Sonoff (R5, S-MATE (R2), etc.) eWeLink-Remote switches/modules.
Functions:
Using an iOS (Apple) or Android smartphone, the Smart Switch connects to the Wi-Fi router via the eWeLink app to access the internet. From the app, you can check the on/off status at any time, control the lights remotely, set on/off schedules. The switch also features an auto-off (inching) function, as with most other Sonoff and SmartWise devices, which allows the switch to automatically turn off after a set amount of time so that the lights are not left on unnecessarily. The in-app remote control can be shared with others, e.g. family members or office colleagues.
The ideal solution for smart control of any lamp or lighting.
Used as a security solution, a presence simulation can be programmed to switch lights on/off on a schedule, making outside observers think you are at home.
Of course, you can also create any other automation (scene) between your eWeLink devices - whether Wi-Fi, Zigbee or RF - based on sensor data or the status of other devices.
The two-channel and three-channel versions of the switch allow the application to set an interlock mode, where one channel is switched off when the other is switched on, allowing safe use, for example, to control roller shutters or any motor.
