Shelly Qubino Wave 1 MINI single channel Z-Wave relay module

The Shelly Qubino Wave 1 Mini is a smart relay module from the Shelly Wave family of products that uses the Z-Wave communication protocol (868.42 MHz in Europe). Z-Wave is a smart protocol designed specifically for communication between smart devices. Due to its sub-GHz frequency, it ensures good signal propagation and the MESH topology of the Z-Wave network allows efficient communication even with remote devices (permanently powered devices act as signal repeaters). Z-Wave devices require a Z-Wave Hub or a USB coordinator (e.g. connected to a mini PC) to operate. The Z-Wave protocol uses standardised command classes, which allows compatibility with thousands of products from different brands. Up to 232 devices can be on one network. The Z-Wave protocol also supports association groups, which allow direct connections between devices on the network. A number of parameters can be set at protocol level, allowing advanced customisation of the device to the user's needs.

The Shelly Wave 1 Mini smart relay module operates on 230V AC. In addition to the dry contact, the module can switch voltages up to 240V AC at 8A or 30V DC at 5A. Built-in overheating protection allows safe operation even in smaller installation ranges. The module is particularly recommended for contact control. If used for voltage control, the maximum current and the reactive power and inrush current of the connected devices must be taken into account. Installation behind socket outlets is not recommended - in this case the Shelly Wave 1 or Shelly Wave 1 PM models are recommended.

Pairing instructions:

• The module has an "S" button, which is a function button.
• To pair, unpair or reset to factory settings, use the "S" button after switching on the device.
• To pair, hold down the "S" button until the LED turns blue. Then long press again (at least 2 seconds) to start the pairing or unpairing process.

Installation:

• It fits standard recessed doses, but we recommend recessed doses for faster installation.
• DIN rail mounting is possible using an adapter (sold separately).

Remark: Like other smart relays, this module requires both a phase and a neutral conductor to operate.
