About Z-Wave:

Z-Wave is a smart home protocol specifically designed for communication between smart devices. The sub-gigahertz frequency ensures reliable signal transmission and the MESH network topology allows devices that are remote from the central unit (hub) to communicate stably (devices with a permanent power connection act as repeaters). Z-Wave devices need a Z-Wave hub or USB coordinator (e.g. connected to a mini PC) to operate. The protocol uses standardised communication Command Classes to ensure compatibility between hundreds of brands and thousands of devices within a Z-Wave system. A Z-Wave network can contain up to 232 devices. An additional benefit of the Z-Wave protocol is the support for association groups, which allow direct connections between specific devices within the network. In addition, Z-Wave devices allow extensive parameter settings at protocol level, allowing highly customised configurations for even the most demanding needs.

Shelly Wave Pro Dimmer 2PM is a DIN rail-mounted dual-channel smart dimmer designed for precise luminance control. It can operate stand-alone with a switch or pushbutton, or integrated into Z-Wave smart home systems, allowing remote access and control via a smart home hub and internet connection.
