SmartWise DW4-ZB Zigbee door/window sensor

SmartWise DW4-ZB is Zigbee sensor for door and window status, a small smart wireless device that connects to a Zigbee gateway to communicate with a smart cloud or local hub. It is compatible with both eWeLink Zigbee gateways and Tuya Zigbee gateways.

Due to its very small size, the sensor can be almost inconspicuously mounted on doors or windows.

It communicates with the eWeLink cloud via the Sonoff Zigbee Bridge Pro, and also works with the Tuya system via the Tuya/SmartLife Zigbee gateway.

What is the Zigbee protocol?

Most devices use Wi-Fi and RF as a communication protocol, which are not specifically designed for IoT standards.

Zigbee is the ideal communication solution specifically for for low-energy installationswhere a large amount of data transmission is not required, but where it is important to keep the transmission latency as low as possible. Zigbee is a good choice for battery-powered sensors or remote controls, as Zigbee provides several times longer battery life compared to Wi-Fi. Zigbee sensors cannot be used standalone, but need a Zigbee gateway to connect them to your home or office network.

Due to the nature of Zigbee technology, connecting to a single Zigbee device is very fast and easy, significantly faster than Wi-Fi.

The sensor also has a removal detector that can send an alert (only with Tuya Zigbee gateway) if the main sensor unit is removed from its place.
