Sonoff DW2 Wi-Fi door and window sensor

Sonoff DW2 is a new improved version of Sonoff's previous DW1 door/window sensor, but uses WiFi (instead of RF) as the connection method. The advantage of this version is that it does not need a gateway or a device with an RF receiver to connect to the web, as it connects directly to your WiFi router.

The product consists of two parts: one to attach to the door or window and one to the door or window frame. When the magnetic contact detects a door or window opening, the device sends an alert signal to your phone or to other Sonoff and SmartWise devices via the eWeLink cloud.

Unlike the previous Sonoff DW1 RF can detect and trigger an action in the eWeLink application both when Opening as well as closing doors or windows Opening and closing send different signals, so you can set separate commands for each action (e.g. the light turns on when you open and off when you close).

It connects to other Sonoff smart devices - e.g. lights, relay switches controlled by the sensor - wirelessly via the eWeLink cloud, so No wiring required. The device is powered by two AAA 3V batteries (not included).

Through the eWeLink app, you can receive an alert of any movement (opening, closing) on your iOS/Android smartphone, easy to use as a simple alarm. When the alert function is activated, only the eWeLink account owner receives alerts, not shared access users.

It includes a SmartScene function where the detection of door/window opening/closing can trigger several other eWeLink compatible Sonoff and SmartWise WiFi devices (smart switches, relay switches, smart sockets) via the eWeLink app.

When used with an eWeLink compatible (Sonoff or SmartWise) camera, a real-time image can be displayed on the Open/Close sensor status screen so that the status can be immediately confirmed by video transmission.
