Sonoff M5 SwitchMan Three Channel Wi-Fi + Matter Smart Switch

The Sonoff M5-3C-86W is part of the Sonoff M5 Matter family of physical pressure smart switches. Like other Sonoff products, it connects to the eWeLink smart system and can be controlled via the eWeLink mobile app. The smart switch is connected to a local Wi-Fi router and can be remotely controlled, timed and monitored via the internet from a mobile phone. In the range of smart switches, this product is aimed at those who do not want to use touch switches but are looking for smart switches with a clean design. The range is available in white and anthracite, so it fits nicely in most interior spaces.

The new R5 Matter in white is a completely new type of SwitchMan smart switch with Matter compatibility. The M5 Matter can be seamlessly integrated into Matter platforms such as Alexa, Google Home and Apple Home, and connected to other brands to create a smart home. It supports operation in the Apple ecosystem via the Matter standard, allowing you to control M5 Matter in the Apple Home app and create automations with devices from different manufacturers.

The M5 series has switches with type codes 80 and 86. This product is a bonded version of type 80, which means that it can be used to connect a separate light source or electrical device. The smart switch is 80 mm wide, which is compatible with the series' conventional mounting boxes with 72 mm spacing. Therefore, you can easily install the switches side by side with a standard 72 mm spacing, which is not possible with 86 mm models. An additional advantage of this type is the compatibility with the optional Sonoff mounting frame, which is available separately in 2, 3 or 4 switch versions.

The status of each circuit (on or off) is indicated by an LED light on an LED strip, which is used as ambient lighting. The colour and brightness of the LED strip can be set separately for both states. As with other Sonoff smart switches, the built-in Wi-Fi chip allows remote control of the switch on/off, viewing of the current status and setting of timers via the eWeLink app on iOS or Android devices. A physical push button also allows traditional wall light control. Remote access can be shared with family members. It's the perfect solution for smart control of any lamp or lighting. You can also switch lights on or off when you're not at home. As a security solution, it allows you to set on/off timers to give the impression that you are at home.

Like other new Sonoff products, it is equipped with a Bluetooth receiver and Bluetooth gateway function, allowing remote control via Sonoff Bluetooth wireless devices (e.g. Sonoff S-MATE 2 module, Sonoff R5 switches).

The Sonoff M5 can also be configured as a pulse switch, which means that the device automatically switches off after a preset time after switching on, so it is also suitable as a "time step switch". The switches also have a Wi-Fi LED indicator that can be switched off, allowing use in the bedroom without distracting light, and the brightness is adjustable.

IMPORTANT: The presence of a phase and neutral conductor in the junction box is required for the Wi-Fi switch to work properly!

The switch can be fixed with screws on all four sides of the mounting box.
