Sonoff M5 SwitchMan Single Channel Wi-Fi + Matter Smart Switch

The Sonoff M5-1C-80W is part of the Sonoff M5 Matter family of physical pressure smart switches. It is a smart light switch that supports Wi-Fi and eWeLink-Remote Hub (Bluetooth). Like other Sonoff products, it connects to the eWeLink smart system and can be controlled via the eWeLink mobile app. The Smart Switch is connected to a local Wi-Fi router and can be remotely controlled, timed and monitored over the internet from a mobile phone. In the range of smart switches, this product is aimed at those who do not want switches with touch keys, but are looking for smart switches with a clean design. The range is also available in white and anthracite, making it easy to integrate into most interior spaces.

The new R5 Matter in white is a completely new type of SwitchMan smart switch with support for the Matter standard. The M5 Matter integrates seamlessly into Matter-compatible platforms such as Alexa, Google Home and Apple Home, and allows collaboration with other brands to create a smart home. It supports operation in the Apple ecosystem via the Matter standard, allowing you to control M5 Matter in the Apple Home app and create automations with devices from different manufacturers.

The M5 series includes switches with type codes 80 and 86. This product is a bonded version of the Type 80, which means it can connect a separate light source or electrical device, and the dimensions are 80 mm wide, allowing compatibility with conventional mounting boxes with 72 mm spacing. This makes it easy to install the switches side by side with the standard 72 mm spacing, as opposed to the 86 mm wide models. An additional advantage is compatibility with the optional Sonoff mounting frame, which is available separately in 2-3-4 switch versions.

The status of each circuit (on/off) is shown by an LED strip used for ambient lighting. The colour and brightness of the LED strip can be set separately for both states. Like other Sonoff smart switches, this switch has a built-in Wi-Fi chip that allows remote on/off control, viewing of the current status and setting of timers via the eWeLink app on iOS or Android devices. A physical push button allows the switch to be operated in the same way as a traditional switch. Remote access can be shared with family members. This is the perfect solution for smart control of any lamp. With the app, you can switch lights on or off wherever you are, even when you're not at home. It's also useful as a security solution, as you can set on/off timers to give the impression that you're at home.

Like other new Sonoff products, it is equipped with a Bluetooth receiver and Bluetooth gateway function, so it can be remotely controlled with wireless Sonoff Bluetooth devices (e.g. Sonoff S-MATE 2 module, Sonoff R5 switches).

Sonoff M5 switches can also be configured as a pulse switch, which means that the device automatically switches off after a certain time, e.g. useful for a "time step switch". The switches also have a Wi-Fi LED indicator that can be switched off, allowing use in bedrooms without distracting light and with adjustable brightness.

IMPORTANT: The presence of a phase and neutral conductor in the junction box is required for the Wi-Fi switch to work properly!

The switch can be fixed with screws on all four sides of the mounting box.
