Sonoff MINIR4 Extreme Wi-Fi Relay Module

Sonoff's new MINIR4 is a mini WiFi smart splitter equipped with the ESP32 chip, which converts traditional splitters into smart splitters. It can be used for remote control and automation of the world and electronic devices, and thanks to its small size (only 33 x 40 mm), it can be installed in various mounting boxes, including most EU/86/120 type mounting boxes.

The Sonoff MINI R4, also known as the Sonoff Mini Extreme, is controlled by a vanjski interrupter and can be easily connected to a pulse interrupter, a slide gate interrupter, an SPDT interrupter, a terminating interrupter, as well as to sensors with dry contacts, as well as to the previous version of the Sonoff Mini R2.

As a new feature, the MINI R4 also has a “relay disconnected” mode, which means that the states of the switches and relay are disconnected, so that the operation of the switches does not affect the state of the relay. However, the switch may still be used to control a smart scene and to control other devices, groups of devices or automation.

The MINI R4 is equipped with an ESP32 chip, and the watch supports Bluetooth. The pairing of the device with the eWeLink app is also done via Bluetooth on the phone, and the MINI R4 also has the function of an adapter/hub for “eWeLink-Remote“, Sonoff's proprietary Bluetooth protocol for local control. Sonoff offers the R5 wireless router and the S-MATE module (which is installed in the wall outlet from the traditional router) as privately sold products, which can locally control the MINI R4 via the “eWeLink-Remote“ signal, or chat with other smart devices via smart scenes.

As with all other eWeLink relay modules, it supports switching on/off by schedule, power status at switch-on (ON / OFF / ON / LOWER STATE), smart scene (automation) and “inching” (AUTO ON and AUTO OFF) functions. Also, in order to protect the power grid from overheating, a switching delay can be set at the end of a power outage.

The new Sonoff Mini Extreme R4 module is 40% smaller than the MINI R2 and 60% smaller than the Mini R3 version of the product.

Sonoff R4 Extreme supports voice control with Google Assistant (Google Home) and Amazon Alexa.

The Sonoff R4 Wi-Fi Relay is compatible with Home Assistant, eWeLink Web (advanced eWeLink prepopulation required) and IFTTT (advanced eWeLink prepopulation required).
