Sonoff R5 SwitchMan Bluetooth (eWeLink-Remote) wireless switch

The Sonoff R5 is a wireless switch that runs on CR2032 batteries. It has 6 physical switch buttons, can be mounted on the wall and can also be removed from the wall mount. Unlike other wireless switches, Sonoff does not use 433 MHz RF technology, but a new remote control via Bluetooth Low Energy, called eWeLink-Remote.

The switch can be connected to devices that have an eWeLink-Remote (BT) receiver and hub function, such as the Sonoff Mini R3 relay, the Sonoff M5 switch or the new Sonoff WiFi+Bluetooth smart bulbs. According to the manufacturer's specifications, it has a much longer range than RF technology, as it can remotely control receivers up to 90 metres.

Please note that it is not compatible with 433 MHz RF devices such as Sonoff RF relays, Sonoff TX T1, T2, T3 wall switches or SmartWise T4 switches!

The 6 buttons of the switch can be connected to 6 different relays or switches (with eWeLink-Remote receiver), so you can remotely control up to 6 different smart devices in the room. You can also control any other eWeLink (Sonoff, SmartWise, other brands) device via the eWeLink cloud. All you need to do is set the Scene for each button, and instead of managing connected devices, you can manage other WiFi devices via the eWeLink cloud.

If you have a lot of smart devices spread out in different rooms and you don't want to control them from your phone, all you need is the R5 remote control for scenes. The R5 switch can be added to the eWeLink-Remote gateway (built into Sonoff Mini R3, M5, etc.) to control all devices in the eWeLink app with three modes of scene triggering.

SONOFF R5 is a module that transmits an "eWeLink-Remote" signal, and is therefore also referred to as an "eWeLink-Remote sub-device". The R5 remote control can be added to smart devices with an "eWeLink-Remote" gateway, such as the M5 smart wall switch, the Mini R3 smart switch and the B05-BL smart LED bulb. Not only can it control all products with the eWeLink-Remote gateway without a local network connection, but it can also control all other SONOFF smart devices in smart scenarios when a network connection is present. Use the R5 together with the SONOFF M5 Switchman Smart Wall Switch, the same light can be controlled from both sides of the room, even if the M5 is offline. No more worries about wiring for bi-directional or multi-directional control. The R5 can be mounted on the wall as a switch or removed and used as a remote control. One eWeLink-Remote gateway can connect up to 8 R5 remotes!

All 6 buttons support three types of button presses: single click, long click and double click, allowing you to configure different scenarios for each button press. The product also includes stickers that you can stick on the buttons to make it easier to remember their functions.

The switch does not usually contain a battery. According to the manufacturer's specifications, the battery lasts for about 2 years (with 10 presses per day).

The switch base can be fixed to the wall or furniture with stickers or screws. The switch can be easily removed from the base and used as a remote control.

No wiring is required as it is a wireless device. You can install it wherever you like.
