Sonoff S-MATE2 Wireless Bluetooth Switch Module

Sonoff S-MATE Extreme (S-MATE2) is the next-generation Bluetooth-based remote control module from Sonoff, supporting the new eWeLink-Remote wireless technology.

What is eWeLink-Remote?

Previously, Sonoff and other eWeLink-compatible devices used 433 MHz RF for wireless local control. Now, the new generation of Wi-Fi + Bluetooth Sonoff devices (such as Mini R3, Mini R4, Basic R4, and T5 Extreme) use eWeLink-Remote-a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)-based protocol that offers:

• Much longer range than RF - up to 100-150 metres in open air (3-5× more than RF).
• No need for physical access or buttons - pairing is initiated directly in the app.
• Easy unpairing directly from the eWeLink app.
• No additional hub required - devices with eWeLink-Remote receiver can relay commands via the eWeLink Cloud to other smart devices using Scenes.

S-MATE2 is a compact eWeLink-Remote remote control module that works with switches to send wireless ON/OFF signals to smart devices like the Sonoff Mini R4, Basic R4, or TX T5 Extreme that feature an eWeLink-Remote receiver.

You can connect a traditional wall switch (toggle or momentary) to one of the three input terminals of the S-MATE2. Each input can be paired with a different device, allowing control of up to three separate devices from a single S-MATE2 using a 3-gang switch.

Compatible with both toggle and momentary switches - simply use the selector switch on the S-MATE2 to match the switch type.

Switches connected to the S-MATE2 can also trigger smart scenes in the eWeLink app to control other devices (even if they don't support eWeLink-Remote). These scenes require an internet connection, but direct Bluetooth-based control works even when Wi-Fi is down.

Thanks to its compact design, the S-MATE2 fits most mounting boxes (EU/86 or 120 type) and works with almost any switch format (rocker, push, etc.).
