Yeelight is one of the world's leading smart lighting brands, offering innovative and intelligent lighting solutions for homes and businesses. The company combines modern technology with minimalist design, allowing users to manage their light sources conveniently and energy-efficiently.
The products are perfectly compatible with the most popular smart home platforms, such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Samsung SmartThings. In addition, many Yeelight devices support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Mesh communication protocols, ensuring seamless integration. The brand strives to make lighting not only functional, but also an experience.
Any of the base modules can be combined with an additional LED module, but a maximum of 6 modules (1 base + 5 additional) can be stacked. Combining modules allows fantastic colour variations to be created.
It is an add-on module for CUBE that requires one of the (individually purchased) basic modules to function, as it allows connection via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth protocol to smart home systems. The base unit also powers the connected additional modules.
Communication protocols and compatibility with smart homes:
Wireless: the lamp supports Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0, allowing control via your phone and smart home systems. It is compatible with the Matter standard and Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings platforms, enabling voice control and seamless integration into existing smart home ecosystems.
Modules:
The (individually orderable) Yeelight Cube base unit provides connectivity to smart home systems via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth protocol and powers the connected add-on modules. Up to 5 additional LED modules can be connected to the base unit, so up to 6 cubes in total can be controlled via the base unit. The additional modules do not operate independently and always need the base unit to function.
The modules of the Yeelight Cube Light system are physically connected by stacking one module on top of another. Each module (base unit and additional LED cubes) has special contact connectors at the top and bottom to allow power and data transfer. Simply stack the modules, the contacts automatically align and establish the connection for power and data. The modules are usually attached by a magnetic mechanism, which facilitates assembly and ensures the stability of the cubes.
Maximum number of modules: the basic unit can connect up to 5 additional modules.
Flexible layout: modules can be stacked in any order, automatically detected by the base unit and synchronised with animations and settings.
