Yeelight is one of the world's leading smart lighting brands, offering innovative and intelligent lighting solutions for homes and businesses. The company combines modern technology with minimalist design, allowing users to manage their light sources easily and energy-efficiently.
The products are perfectly compatible with the most popular smart home platforms, such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Samsung SmartThings. In addition, many Yeelight devices support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Mesh communication protocols, ensuring seamless integration. The brand's aim is to make lighting not only functional, but also an experience.
Any base module can be combined with an additional LED module, but a maximum of 6 modules (1 base + 5 additional) can be stacked. Combining modules allows you to create beautiful colour variations.
Communication protocols and compatibility with smart homes:
Wireless: the lamp supports Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0, allowing control via your phone and smart systems. It is compatible with the Matter standard and Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Samsung SmartThings platforms, allowing voice control and seamless integration into existing smart homes.
Modules:
YLFWD-0008 is the basic unit of the Yeelight Cube Light system, which connects to smart systems via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth protocols and powers the connected modules.
YLFWD-0005 is an additional LED reflector (sold separately), up to 5 of these modules can be connected to the YLFWD-0008 base unit, so up to 6 cubes can be operated in total (1 base + 5 additional). The additional modules do not operate independently and always need the base unit to operate.
The modules of the Yeelight Cube Light system are physically connected by stacking them on top of each other. Each module (base unit and additional LED cubes) has special contacts at the top and bottom for power and data transfer. Stacking the modules automatically aligns the contacts and establishes the connection. The modules are usually fixed by a magnetic mechanism, which allows easy assembly and stability.
Maximum number of modules: the basic unit can connect up to 5 additional modules.
Flexible layout: modules can be stacked in any order, automatically detected by the base unit and synchronised with settings and animations.
